First annual time
for granting the Licences
by the Board.
(1) §. 13. And be it further enacted that the first
Board for the business of granting of licenses made under and by virtue of this Act to be in force
under and in virtue of this Act within the said London Police District under and in virtue of this Act
shall be
(unless some certain time be shall have been appointed by his Majesty
under the powers hereinafter before hereinafter mentioned) be
held by the said Commissioners on the first day of September 1 next ensuing at their Office
which shall be
situated at such
place within the
said District, as
from time to time
it shall please
his Majesty, his
Heirs and successors
shall be pleased
to appoint:
by the said Commissioners: and if the whole of
such business be not then dispatched, then on the
several succeeding days or on any other day,
to which such business or any part thereof shall
have been adjourned, until the whole thereof shall
have been dispatched: and that every such licence
shall be made given out and be in force for no greater term
than one whole year, to commencing on the twenty-ninth
day of the said September and no longer:
and shall be
signed by every one of the said
major part of the said
Commissioners then
present and assenting
to the granting of
the same or such number as shall be
requisite and sufficient to constitute
a Board for
that purpose: or by
the S any person
officiating as Secretary
at any such Board
by direction of the
Board:
and in respect of every
licence so granted, the licence-duty payable
as herein before mentioned on account thereof in manner before mentioned
shall previously to the signature of the same
thereof be paid to the said Commissioners or their
Receiver or their appointed for that purpose.
