by the Justices -
(2) §. 14 And be it further enacted that the first
meeting for the business of granting such
in and for every such Country Police District as aforesaid
licenses in and for such places where the same for which such licenses shall
be granted by his Majesty's Justices of the
Peace, that is to say every where in that part
of Great Britain called England for every all
places in parts of England not comprized within the said
London Police District shall be held at
granted the said Licences shall be granted by the
Justices assembled at the General licencing Meetings
which shall be, or under the laws <add>now in being ought to be,
holden in and for the respective Divisions for
the licensing of Alehouses to wit on the first
day of September next ensuing, or, if the whole
of such business be not then dispatched, then on
the several succeeding days between that and the
twenty-first Day of the said September to which
such business or any part thereof shall have been
adjourned untill the whole thereof be dispatched:
and every such licence so granted shall also be in force
for one whole Year, commencing on the 29th of
the said September and no longer: and in respect
of every licence so granted, the licence duty
payable, as herein before mentioned, on account
thereof, shall, previously to the signature thereof
by such Justices, have been paid to such Surveyor
