Every such wholesale Dealer in Naval Stores Paper-makers
materials, second-hand apparel, second-hand made up piece-goods and remnants
and Old Metals Horses respectively, and every and every Dealer in Horses <add>such Horse dealer, and every
such Cart Keeper and Hand Cart Keeper, D Livery
Stable Keeper, Skinner Slaughterer and Boiler, and
Pawnbroking Salesman respectively shall keep regular
Books of their occupation exhibiting their course of trade
and the persons with whom they have respectively had
dealings in manner following that is to say
1. In the Books of every such Dealer in Naval Stores
shall be expressed the name and abode of every person of
whom such dealer shall at any one time have purchased
any greater quantity than 28 lb weight as herein after specified of such stores together
with the County according to the form exhibited in
Schedule annexed to this Act; that is to say, in
the case of a such Dealer in Naval Stores, £ 28: in
the case of such Dealer in Paper Maker's materials
£ 28 lb: in the case of such Dealer in Second Hand
Apparel, second-hand piece-goods, to the value of 10 s
to be sold to a customer
for use.
: in the
case of every such Dealer in Whole Old Metals, if
iron or steel, 28 lb; if tin, pewter or lead, 8 lb;
if Copper, Brass or Bell Metal, or other mix't metal to
containing Copper, 7 lb: if tin or pewter, lb: If pewter lb: and
if the quantity thereof
moreover in such case an assay
shall before the completion
of such purchase
be made thereof
in the presence of the
seller, and the true there
an entry shall be
made of the true quantity
of such pewter,
under the denomination
if bronze, lb. if tin, bronze tutenag, or any metal plated with
silver or gold, 1 lb: if silver 8 ounces: if gold
1 oa ounce: if any other metal or any semi-metal
or metallic mixture, to the value of ;
In the Books of every such Dealer in Horses of the
Horses, Asses or Dogs, as also in the Books of every such
Skinner, Slaughterer and Boiler shall be expressed the name
and abode of every persons of whom he or she shall have
bought
