§ 49.

a paper, exhibiting expressive of such Register or Calendar,
by the filling up of the heads contained in
such Blank Form or Scheme so rece so
framed for the purpose, or in some other
equally proper and sufficient mode, according
to such Instructions as shall have
been so received for transmitted to him as aforesaid in relation
thereto: and every such Jailor or Keeper as
aforesaid who having received from the said
Commissioners as aforesaid any such Blank
Forms or Schemes with instruction thereto thereunto relating
as aforesaid shall wilfully or through negligence
omitt to make true and perf any
any such return as shall be required in and
by any such Instructions or to any make true
and perfect answer to any such lawful and reasonable
question as shall be contained therein or shall wilfully
or through negligence make any false answer
thereunto shall forfeit and pay any sum not exceeding
[ 10s ] nor less than [ 1s ] for every day during
which such omission shall have continued: and every
such person Jailor or Keeper as aforesaid who in and by making any such
return so made by him as aforesaid shall wilfully or through negligence
omitt to make true and perfect answer to
any such lawful and reasonable question, or to comply with any
such lawful and reasonable requisition, as shall be
contained in any such Instructions relative thereto, or
shall wilfully or through negligence make any
false answer to any such question shall forfeit
and pay for every such offence not any sum not
exceeding [ £ 5 ] nor less than [ 5s ].
