§. 50
Further materials -
Returns from Constables -

And be it further enacted that it shall and
may be lawful to and for the said Commissioners
every Constable or such other Peace-Officer, and
every other person to whom any Warrant, Summons,
order or other precept or authority
in writing shall have been delivered by any
Justice or Justices of the Peace to the end that
such Warrant or other authority may be executed
by such Constable or other person, shall by the
then next post, or so soon thereafter as conveniently
may be after the receipt thereof transmitt
or cause to be transmitted by the Post (or otherwise
according to the such appointment as such from time
to time shall be made in that behalf by the said
Commissioners) a true and exact copy of every such
Warrant or other authority; of of every warrant
or other such authority
as aforesaid
such Warrants or
other such authorities as
aforesaid excepted
if any as shall belong to
such any species of
precept or author authority, if
any which as the said Commissioners
shall have
thought fit to except:
for this purpose
a in adding upon signed with a signature
the face of every such copy a memorandum expressive
expressive of the name of such and abode of
such Constable together with some number
a figure or figures expressive of some number, whereby
each such the copy of each such warrant or
other authority may be distinguished from every other,
the series of such numbers commencing with
the first of such copies so transmitted by each
such Constable or other person, and continuing to the
end of each the Year of our Lord in which such
transmission shall be made by the same person:
and so soon as each such Constable or other
person, so soon as he shall have executed or in part executed, such Warrant in totum
completely or in part or other authority , according to the nature of
the business therein required to be done, for example,
