Business of the Hawkers
and Hackney
Coach Officers transferred
to the Board
of Police.

And whereas the business of the several
offices for established for the granting licencing
a of "Hawkers <add> Pedlars and Petty Chasemen" || </add> and Pedlars and for the "licencing
"and regulating | the Keepers of | Hackney Coaches
and Hackney Chairs" respectively + under divers Statutes now in force would might be transacted
with more economy and to better advantage if the functions
of the said Offices though were to be transferred to the said Board <add> and would with those of
placed in the same hands with the several functions committed
as aforesaid to the said Board</add> of Police Revenue. And whereas for the
better execution of divers Acts lately made || 29. G. 3. c. 26. §. 1.
relative to "Aliens" residing in or moving arriving in this Kingdom + 26.G.3.c.72.§.1
into this his Majesty's Kingdom of Great or resident therein" ||
