on Ship Board
And whereas the depredations carried on before committed on
as the said River within the limits aforesaid have been carried on in partly great
measure degree by means of Coats, loose habiliments purposely furnished
with large pockets and other means of stowage partly as also not only by means not only by of sacks, or bags and other implements of
stowage appearing as not
appearing as such but also by means of oversized or superfluous
as spare or oversized stockings and other articles of apparel craftily
or spare stockings other such implements craftily
devised and worn and or carried for
that purpose as well as well <add>not only by persons employed as labourers by lumpers and other persons employed
or otherwise in that or about Ships and vessels And
where persons who partly by but also in by evil disposed persons who
having no without having any lawful employment or business on
board of any such Ships or vessels of others but
and also have frequented frequenting the same for the sole purpose of plunder
and frequenting the same for no other purpose than that of depredation do committing
depredation as aforesaid
committing depredations therein obtain also nevertheless admittancehave nevertheless obtained admittance
therein into either by the assistance connivance and by assistance
or negligence of persons therein employ'd, therein or otherwise, for want
of some visible mark whereby persons engaged in any
lawful and regular occupation or occupations in or about the same may be distinguished
immediately readily and
universally generally
without enquiry special enquiry from persons not having any such
business occupation or employment
