well known that among the individuals
who follow the occupation of Hackney
Coachmen there are some - and that in no
inconsiderable number who to their casual and avowed business
derive a particular inducement from the diverting
themselves to the lending assistance in a variety of shapes
to habitual depredation in its variety of shapes
- for instance by conveying or concealing the persons fruits
of the depredation or the persons of the depredators
or by operat assisting them in the
capacity of sorts spies by information where
booty is to be had, or of by gi warning
given of approaching danger.
