Art. 9. So also if a Person having justified as Friendly Bondsman Guardian
do not by himself or his Agent as aforesaid attend on such day as aforesaid, # # or if in the mean time any
one of the events shall have happened
by which such Guardianship
is on the ground of insufficiency
on the part of such
Guardian as aforesaid made determinable
in manner hereinafter
mentioned

Prisoner shall be deemed engaged in the Metasylum as aforesaid.

his right in that behalf. p. 8.

Art. 10. Provided that the Governor may at any time relinquish his right
to the service of any such quondam Prisoner in the Metasylum either in favour of
any Friendly Bondsman Guardian, or in favour of the service of his Majesty or the
East India Company as aforesaid.

Art. 12. After the opening of the said Metasylum, no Prisoner shall
be called upon more than one year before the expiration of his or her Term, to make
election as aforesaid.

Art. 13. And Whereas so long as any such quondam Prisoner shall
continue in the service either of his Majesty or the East India Company as aforesaid such
Prisoner will thereby be not only sufficiently provided for, but remain under as strict
a superintendence as he would have been under at the Metasylum And
Whereas the conduct of such Prisoner will thereby also be exempt from all superintendence
as well on the part of the said Governor as on the part of any person
into whose character the said Governor could have it in his power to scrutinize in the
manner in which he is hereby enabled to do into that of a Friendly Bondsman Guardian
Be it enacted that during the continuance of any quondam Penitentiary
Man in the service either of his Majesty or of the said Company the Governor's
responsibility in respect of indemnification-money for Post-liberation offences
as aforesaid shall cease.

Art. 14. Provided always that if, on the discharge of any such quondam
Prisoner as aforesaid from his Majesty's service, it should be his Majesty's pleasure
to consign over such discharged person to the Metasylum, the Governor
shall be bound to receive him thereinto, in which case the said Governor's responsibility
as aforesaid shall thereupon revive.
