passed much unchecked
became a practise and

continued in perfect confidence
of their correctness. The
commissioners are also aware
that much money has
been expended from the
poor rates for purposes
of which though of public utility to the
parish, yet though the charges
were unauthorized by law
or law. These charges
the commissioners are here
bound to disallow. And
for this purpose they have
issued instructions to the
auditors to disallow them
in pa on the passing the
accounts
