Funds out of which
the expence is defrayed
The funds out of which that expence part
of the expence resulting from delinquency which
is bestowed upon prosecution are in some
1. The General National Fund or Revenue.
2. The County Funds being the product of
taxes imposed in the same manner and
borne by the same persons and by them in the same proportions as the Poor Rates.
3. The property of the delinquent.
4. The property of a private prosecutor.
Having these funds the general mass of expence is distributed
according to in a very irregular proportions, depending
a good deal on contingencies.
The uses in which the expence is defrayed
from out of the Public Revenue at large
1. Cases of Felony no respect to as far as concerns the
Reward for evidence payable on conviction,
whether the general expence
of prosecution is
defray'd by individuals as it is in court instances
or by the Public Revenue, as it is in
a few special instances.
