Your transcript of JB/031/259/001 has been checked and accepted by the Transcribe Bentham editors. You did well transcribing this one as Bentham’s handwriting is tricky here! We added paragraph tags and helped with a few unclear words. Bentham is using some French words on this page, so we used the foreign tag too. Remember that you can see the changes we made here [1]. This completed transcript has now been locked to prevent other users from altering it. Many thanks for your submission and contribution to the project!

Welcome to the Transcribe Bentham project and thank you for your first transcript of JB/169/164/001, which was an excellent effort. You did a good job transcribing the words on the page – we were able to expand your work by filling in a few gaps and getting rid of some of the unclear tags. There are a couple of points to remember about the use of tags. Paragraphs or blocks of text (as on this page) should be included inside paragraph tags. Marginal additions should be tagged using the note tag. You can see the changes that we made to your transcript here: [1]. This completed transcript has now been locked to prevent other users from altering it. If you have any questions, feel free to send us a message. We look forward to receiving more of your transcripts in the future!
