21 Cause &c

13
The ness of
the sum can not
be the sole cause of
the depretiation — since
the depretiation is
greater upon Navy
Bills which may
be had for any
sum

At the same time the circumstance of the Exchequer
Bills not existing in to any amount any sum less than £100<lb> can not be it may be thought the sole cause of its depretiation in comparison
with the Bank note: for the a Navy Bill New Navy
Bill may be issued for any sum however small:
and yet the depretiation upon Navy Bills even the
new Navy Bills is still greater than upon the Exchequer
Bills. It seemsmust be allowed however that though Navy
Bills may be demanded and issued for sums much smaller than
of an amount greater than than that of the smallest
Bank Note, yet in fact there are not many issued
for such smaller sums
