Old Cloathsmen
not to purchase
Metals —

No person [who is or ought to be licenced shall be or under and by
virtue of this Act is bound ought to be take out a licence
quality of a Licenced Remnant dealer in Second hand
Apparel, Second hand made up piece goods, or
Remnants by virtue of the act shall purchase
or in for the purpose of sale any
while going travelling to and fro in the course of such his
occupation purchase or have in his possession
[in his own house his habitation yard or warehouse] any old Second hand
metal or plate or <add> any
article made thereof ] excepting
buttons, embroidery, or other metallic substances as may have or affixed to
wearing apparel for ornament sake — [on pain of
forfeiting for the first offence not less more than ten pounds,
and for every subsequent offence not more than
forty pounds]

as may chance to be attached worked up in the form of embroidery
buttons or other appendages with or upon to any apparel
or made up Piece Goods) shall forfeit exert the forfeiture of such his license
over and above the suffering the penalty for dealing without
