The persons themselves at whose expence it will
naturally be apprehended that the public benefits
of reformation will be purchased are by no means
those whose interests have been least consulted in
the existing plan, nor who to whose thanks the author on the score of good
intentions has possesses the weakest claim.

No bo No one can suppose that many years
can possibly pass by without some very general
and serious being made in pursuit of the same object.
It is impossible that for any considerable
length of time the great and splendid examples
exhibited by a neighbouring nation country can pass over remain
without fruit unproductive in a nation country which for every thing that
concerns liberty and good government has so long
showed itself figured <add>boasted a</add> itself upon preeminence. Already for several
years the public has been possessed of a plan directed
to a part of the same objects and avowed by a person
of the first class of in the profession. Other branches
of reform have been printed out by a writer the
most popular and the most deservedly so of any of
his profession who ever handled the subjects of politics
or morals.

That the plan which first gains possession of
the public attention ear should be a temperate one
the most striking feature of which the most sound religious
regard
