been but too generally insensible is that betwixt the importance
of a tenet proposition and the sublimity of its the subject. of it

of the word is that which is so with reference to practice.
An important proposition in human physiology is
that which is so with reference to man's health and
faculties: one important proposition in theology is
that from which in the one event may is apt to result
conduct beneficial or in the other case pernicious to
the happiness of mankind. A sublime proposition
is that which produces in our imagination the
sentiment of the sublime or in other words of awe
and wonder: which a thousand objects ideas may do that
are of no more importance than the lowest and most
trivial. A question concerning the constitution of the
Godhead is as sublime as it is possible for one
to be. but according to under every branch of the Chrg
Christian system with reference to us none can be less divested of importance. (a)
