Thus, by the open destruction of the liberty of Parliament,
this part of the business of the Church this part of it
was settled. From this time, in Church not to speak of State Sinecurism, Non-Residence,
Overpay and Pluralism, all these elements and instruments of misrule have been
among the jewels of the Crown objects clear pretious
to in the sight of Bishops and of Kings. Religion [—
the religion of the Church of England —] has numbered
them among the essentials: the Crown has numbered
them among its Jewels. Destitute of these

ornaments the nakedness of the Church of Scotland —
