Appendix III
Dean Andrews

1. Andrews

6

Ale is water liquor Insert here or postpone or omitt:

15
[Inference deducible
relates to Treasury.
But the material difference
is not being
drinking Ale and
drinking none but
between drinking and
not drinking dearer
liquors.]

[Some inference may moreover be drawn concerning in relation to
the thought Honourable and Right Honourable
to whose sympathies and antipathies this same address
was made. But unless that of except in so far as the right very reverend
be an exception, the time distinction here in view
was not improbably not between those who drink ale
alone and those who drink wine alone and those who
drink ale alone, but by between those who drink ale alone
and those not being able to afford any thing more better palatable
drink this liquor
and nothing better

and those who drinking ale or perhaps something smaller the digestion and
healths sake drink at during dinner, drink wine, some
smuggled or not smuggled afterwards. Not that their
by their dinner digesting beverage their Lordships would be better
pleased to be pursued than by their after dinner beverage solver.
But that howsoever they it might happen to them
to apply to Canterbury for brown, they would never
think of looking that way for ale.]

16
As to the information
having its source
in malice, see
the application to
Vansittart

As to the other consideration which has had its share
in reconciling the very Reverend breast bosom to
the those supposed wits which have appeared of so serious to
less indulgent minds, viz. the fear that malice has had
had a share in the production giving birth of detection it is a consideration
on which in the other class of bosoms above
mentioned appears to have acted with equal weight.

And this brings us to the Right Honourable and
though not Reverend not the less pious Chancellor of the
Exchequer.
