Appendix V
Archbishop & Co

8

So much for the most Reverend his Grace the Archbishop
of Canterbury, primate of all England, in the
character of prime Agent of the supposed suspected fraud.
Here then we have one [suspected] supposed actor and no
more than one such actor, unless the Reverend Secretary
all along self represented all along as acting certainly
under the orders of the said most Reverend person
in his quality of President of the said Society, but and
also thereby at the same time under the order of the here supposed
imaginary and fictitious General Committee and Sub-
Committees of the said Society be regarded as another
such actor.

But. for in addition to these two such actors with or without
others — say two actors — we have in each year no fewer than fifty
persons mostly dignified apparent parties to the same fraud
in the character of connivers: and in this company
of connivers we have all the Bishops in England, including
the remaining Archbishop, the rest of them
being according to the account given in the first of
these Reports, persons dignif mostly in high dignities
nominated joint Members nominees by of these same Bishops joint Members
of this same governing body whether in act or no
at any rate by of right in conjunction with these their
Right Reverend nominators.

In these respective Reports, all along, in the character
of agents, actual agents in this fraud
are they represented. In no instance If it be true that This representation
not having has not in any instance been contradicted by them or
any of them, whether the title of connivers at or accomplices
in the supposed fraud if it be a fraud be the title most properly
applicable
applicable is among
the points on which it
will rest with the sincere
reader to determine
☞ Go on to state the influence
of Lit and Cat in producing
such participation in fraud.
