Report spurious
§.9. Actors who?
Archbishops speech
31 May 1816
5
Hostility? in whose acts is there any such sentiment
expressed, and towards whom? in the acts of this of he whom
they imputes this assertion is imputed by him — and we towards him
and those who act with him? No: not in the acts his acts and of
those who act with him, and towards him of against whom
he thus speaks. Those contributions which till
he began acting went and would have continued to go to pay for teaching the Bible and
nothing but the Bible have since he him began acting
been drawn off in great part to pay for that instruction
in which (as has been shewn) Church of Englandism and nothing but Church
of Englandism is taught with any design of seeing it
learnt, and in which as hath also been shewn the Bible and any thing in it is
thrown compleatly into the back grounds
Here then is hostility in deeds acts
As to hostility in words the whole of his is there
a page in any of his Reports is there a paragraph in
them or any other of his speeches that is not infected septic
with it? The Bishops of London, the Baal-pen
to whom he has joined himself — have they not p us
all to understand that in the fields of religion every opinion
different from theirs is schism, and that schism p,
that guilt for punishment to be administered by
the revival of antient discipline
