Emancipate Preface
For legal purposes is there that spot upon the
Globe that is not viewed by a learned eye for religious purposes
by an episcopal eye within the precincts of some London
Parish.
On the ground of plain arithmatic - for it belongs
to no other this great question, I not only then was, but still
am prepared to argue: To argue, not withstanding the want of
times the want, of eyes and so many other personal deficiencies,
with the help of this or that public spirited and
kindly
disinterestedly assisting friend to whom no reward, even
in the shape of popularity is necessary and who for
the ever so distant hope of rendering service to their
Country and mankind they are read are on this
as on every occasion ready to meet the strongest
tide of unmerited unpopularity with unshirking
fortitude.
Materials? they are in store already
as many items of expenditure are apparent un-
der the High heads of the several dependencies: for
the compleat collection of them nothing of art or science
necessary save a little of that accountantship
by which those items that are disguised by being placed
under uncharacteristic hands are delisted and
placed in the characteristic ones.
Go on to say y who will move the question - if moved
the same lips that moved the order of the day. Upon
the Reform resolutions would upon this.
