Canada 1828 May 26 per Roebuck at Q.S.P.
Persons sent by the Canadians to prevent their petitions
to the British Government –
J. Neilson – Editor of the Old Quebec Gazetier
Member of the House of Assembly and a
Seigneur.
Viger – Editor of a Montreal Paper, I believe the
Canadian Conrast. Member of the House
of As. and a Seigneur. He is a Canadian
by birth – and intimately connected t with the
most influential people among the Canadians.
Cuvillier – Member of the House, and an Auctioneer.
He is a stern sort of man – though perhaps
not over honest. He is on the side of the
people because his immediate interests lead
that way.
Neilson however leads the rest – as he
says they will do –
They live at the London Coffee House
Ludgate Hill.
