The Pacha frequently holds a Divan. Members, 50
Each delivery his opinion on the subject of consideration.
All of them of course named by the Pacha ulen.
No other persons are present. Language used the Turkish.

The land is the whole of it the property of the
Pacha. Leases, none. Occupiers all Tenants at will, obliged
to sell the whole produce to the Pacha at his own
price.

Public Ledger – G supplied the Pacha with the Examiner. G went every night to the Palace & when Newspapers arrived he was desired to read & report upon them.

Religion. The Pacha is a ""perfect "Utilitarian". He believes not Mahomet. He never attends the Mosques. The number of Priests is great that are paid by voluntary contributions.
