Greece & I think the foots of Europe will endeavour
to put one of their Legitimates on the throne of
that Country. It must be our care therefore forthwith to
engraft on the public mind those principles which contribute
to the greatest good of the greatest many. If we
do by any means secure to Greece a free Press the
rest must follow. As soon as our Presses are
at work I proposed to make extracts from yr works
for publication. That on a free Press will be 1st
noticed & then those on the Laws. And These wholesome truths must be accompanied
by facts drawn from Ancient & Modern fresh
history that are pleasing to the people. This will make them
attached to the Press. I believe I have articled a
recruit for Mr. Hills School. He is the Son of the one of
first Persons in Cefalonica. I calculate on sending
him several pupils from the Morea. Should I do so
I shall not send home any boy on your account as
the object would be otherwise obtained. Tomorrow I start
for Napoli di Romania the seat of the Executive foos
