"Messalonigie 7th Feby 1824
"The late Executive Body was found guilty of the
following charges by a Commission of 9 of the Legislative
Body.
1st. Charge. For having misapplied the funds of the land
and sea forces.
2d. Charge. For having allowed 2 members to carry on
the functions of the Executive Body.
3d. Charge. For promoting officers contrary to law.
4th. Charge. For having sold the Cannon taken at
Napoli without consulting the Representatives.
5th. Charge. For inviting the Cantons of St. Piere and
Prastos without consulting the Legislative Body.
6th. Charge. For selling Turkish slaves contrary to Law.
7th. Charge. For having proclaimed the sale of the
national property without the consent of the
Legislative Body.
8th. Charge. For allowing the Finance Minister to establish
a monopoly of salt.
9th. Charge. For sending Mr. Metaxa a member of the
Executive to Caritina and leaving the supreme
Body of the State with only 2 persons, and
from that period having avoided all correspondence
with the Legislative Body.
10th. Charge. For having allowed Mr. Metaxa to sit as a
as a member of the Executive after he had been
sentenced to dismissal by a Commission.
11th. Charge. For not having acknowledged Mr. Colletti
as a member of the Executive after he
had been chosen by the Legislative Body.
12th. Charge. For having allowed an armed body to
depart from Napoli and to go round
against the Legislative Body at Argos.
These charges and the dismissals were published
in proclamation issued by the President, the
Executive and Legislative Bodies."
