One grand point but probably no small

haste all of them, to get into the situations they
respectively covet, and getting so firm a footing in
them in wish and endeavour, & thence in effect,
that the idea of change w<hi rend="underline">d have become unendurable.
If they could be made to take a right
view of the matter they w<hi rend="underline">d see (I mean the first
occupants of the situations) that by the responsibility
that is imposed upon them strict as it is, even personal
interest w<hi rend="underline">d not be a sufferer.
