Before this reaches you, Col. Stanhope will have
arrived and communicated all that was needful to enable
you to form a tolerable idea of the state of things in
Greece. A most important event has occurred since his
departure. I allude to the first and complete triumph of

the details you have under the cover that envelopes this, and I am exceedingly hurried for time, you will I trust,
