I do hope that I have convinced by unprejudiced and
honourable mind, that Mavrocordatos has been most cruelly
treated – If you think so, pray write to him
immediately, for he values your opinion as he
ought, – at all events write to him –

After all you hear from B. & the Deputies, as
to the late triumph, do not wonder if I am
more sanguine than was as to the future
destinies of Greece. Adieu my dear Sir,
continue to improve and instruct poor human nature,
and believe me to be, Most faithfully & truly yours
