1827 Jan. 18
Guatamala. J.B. to La Fayette

3

This will be accompanied by a pamphlet just out of
the press. I sent it – not for any chance of its being interesting
to you: but only as a token of concern respectful and
affectionate remembrance. The scene I saw at Le Grange
is never out of my thoughts. George is a name which
the notwithstanding its belonging to a race of things, never
presents itself to my mind unaccompanied with pleasant
associations. I have the George who is to me, what your's
is to you. Yours ever
Jeremy Bentham.

General La Fayette

P.S. My Constitutional Code
this which possibly may not be
altogether uninteresting to you
is in the press and at the
240th page.
