But in the first place will the members of the
tribunal in question will they adopt and as such
act up to that same leading principle? This is
in question

The individual in question, supposing him to be
apprised or regard himself as effectually apprised
and thence persuaded of the application course which the judgement and
in consequence the affections and operations acts of that
same tribunal will eventually be take, his conduct
on the occasion in question will it in any some what
degree be influenced by such his persuasion? — This
of course will depend as above upon his idiosyncrasy
and the situation in which he finds himself as above.

Here there are three perfectly distinguishable points
which in a system of deontology constituted upon the ground
of the principle of utility will all along run on in the
same line. 1. What is most conducive to the public
welfare abstraction made of the course taken pursued by
the decisions of the tribunal of public opinion. 2. what
in the place in question is the course that will be
taken by that same tribunal. 3. what under these
circumstances is the course which in the several
situations in which they are capable of being placed
in the normal occasions of life will be observed by individuals
