Polit. Deontology

Power immediate (habitual) on the one part is created by and coextensive
with disposition to obedience, or as the case may be disposition to submission or alias
acquiescence on the other part.

The Whatsoever Of such disposition whatsoever may be the
cause, the power may equally have place. That cause may
be – 1. From one of evil. 2. Hope viz. of good. 3. a
mixture of both or habit intrinsic or extrinsic derived from either or from a
mixture of both.
