Vituperation in so far as not punishable may be considered as annoyance influenced
by assumption of superiority in the seat of power by
a man acting in the character of Judge and Executioner
of the Judicatory of public opinion: the Judicatory by
which the power of the popular or moral sanction is
applied.
Defamation in the case in so far as where no person is present
but the person defamed, is but vituperation particularized.
Modes of annoyance by assumption of superiority in
the scale of wisdom.
