Direction & avowed interruption of the speaker, is one
of the evidences of contemptuous disesteem to be particularly
guarded against. Its offensiveness is often so intolerable as to
make conversation painful rather than pleasurable – and
to produce so much of annoyance as to excite even the
re-action of ill will.
