Title for the whole work – Morality made easy! or
the natural connection between Interest and duty
shown and applied to the continually occurring
occasions of life

Of the sufferings which men experience at the
hands of others no small portion is produced by act by
which no advantage in any shape, is produced to themselves.

General rule. Never without view of to some special & preponderant advantage
in some particular shape to yourself, to some other
individual or individuals or mankind at large do
anything which you have reason to apprehend
may be productive of uneasiness in any shape to
any individual. Never do any thing which you have
reason to apprehend may be productive of uneasiness
to any individual in the way of joke: ie
for the sake of any merriment expected from the
view of that same uneasiness

What are morals? the balance 'twixt pleasure & pain!
Who the virtuous and virtue? who does good & from evil abstain.
