(7) [Complex or complicated] Understand, with the
exception of that species of complexity or complicationcomplicatedness,
complic which has place in the case of concrete, as <add>opposite to</add>contradistinguished from abstract is sensible ideas. - Whence (it may be and) causes the exception? Answer - From being;
it sha viz: that, though in other cases, the more complex the idea is, the more greater
the labour of mind or fire of attention is, which is necessary to
the obtaining the conception in a clear compleat and
correct and shew state, here it is otherwise.such is not the case here.

itself to sense, without presenting at one and the same time
a numbermultitude of simple ideas, of all which taken togetherwherebyall togetheraltogether form one
