more or less acquainted with the principles of this art
might be increasedaugmented - increased by the whole number
of those who at present are repelled from it by the
formidable apparatus of magical characters by which means
in the exercise of of which the its abbreviative function of it are employed it performedexercised
and when the to the principle of each distinguishable
contrivance was held up to view in ordinary language
each principle characterized and fixt by one appropriate
name with a definition annext, even the
adepts themselves might in the clearness and expressive
generality of the language find facilities according to the
nature of the case, either for the invention of new contrivances,
or for showing satisfying themselves and the public at large if such were the case, and
as soon as it came to be became the case, that the nature of
the case admitted not of any others.
