12. By the varieties thus introduced into the plan scheme of instruction
experience and usefully applicable knowledge
would be gained: and while by the course taken in the each the
instance of each variety for determining whether it shall
or shall not be introduced, a due respect for liberty
of choice will be testified, and for securing general
satisfaction the most promising means employed that the
nature of the case admitts of employed.
13. Throughout the whole system and course of management,
two cardinal points, viz. continual improvement
and general satisfaction – the most greatest perfect satisfaction
of as well as the greatest real benefit on the part of the greatest number of the
individuals interested, will be the objects
and continually kept in view, and as far as possible
provided for, and accomplished, in conjunction.
