1830. Aug 5.
J.B. to France.

they done to be excluded from one to 19 29 years from
the possibility of taking a part in the business of legislation.

Who does not know that the longer a man
lives, the more selfish he grows: the more his thoughts
are confined within himself, and his own narrow
circle. Then come Wife and children; and by every

advanced, leaders of parties, both of them. Leaders,
and such Leaders! Who is there that, since that
time, has come near to them, or either of them?

the country of which I am ashamed. What other
thing? Alas! No such thing can I think of.
