desires at the your
expense.

quantity possible of the
produce of your own
labours.

His interest is that he
should have it – viz.
1. for the immediate
possession
2. for securing the continuance
of it by remuneration
to his
agents.

Necessary to him for
this purpose is the
matter of remuneration;
because by it
may be produced effects
not producible by punishment
alone.

Results the value of which
rises in proportion to the
alacrity accompanying
the production of them
