judicial authority
demonstrated the inaptitude
of its existence
what the progress
for it?

General description –
those whose compliance
with its will surest.

In particular, Judge
single, located ballot-wise
in Depute Chamber.

Good this, so far: but not
sufficient without
arrangements of detail,
as to Judges' single-seatedness,
powers and
checks – viz. securities
&c.
Given these arrangements
with their
reasons visible will
then be why all other
proposable arrangements
would be
unapt.

Following cases excepted
in which the legislation
must be judicative
– supreme authority
one only:
Judge but one.

From hence misdecision
not unless charged
to be intentional
appeal none.
7.
If so charged, appeal
to Chamber.
8.
Power to Chamber then
to apply itself to punish
him at discretion.

Power to Chamber
then to apply to
reverse or vary his
decision, if it declares
his guilt and punishmt.

By such appeal execution
is not stayed.

For wrong so done by
him, compensation at
his charge: this insufficient
at public's.

Note, sole wrong irreparable
death. Thus, one reason
and that sufficient for
non-infliction of death
in any cases.

to Chamber to punish
accuser at discretion.

Accusation received,
none without accuser's
delivering himself up
to President: unless for
want of his forthcomingness,
one Motion
made and carried.

Accuser interrogated
Chamber will exact
security at discretion
for continuance
of suit, compensation
to Judge, and ulterior
punishment.
