J.B. to BelgiansLetter III
(3)

A form of government so so are the portions of the interest of the few
The Constitution of those United States have of course its detractors
and by those detractors, corruption is with little reserve imparted
to it. In speaking of corruption this state of things is what
I should expect to find they have in view.

(4)
To a form of government to such a degree odious to the
majority of the population of the political greater number of politicians
no want want can there be of dectractors: and by those
detractors, is of course corruption is in general terms
of course, among the
imputations cast

has been made, the official situation will have been of the number
of those, of which the importance is greater in appearance
than in reality.

(3)
Minister Plenipotentiary – not many years
ago to the Court of Paris a man who was deaf, and could not speak a
syllable of the French language: that language, which was
the particular language of the country he was sent to reside
in, besides being the common language of the civilized world.
