SECT. I. Of Laws in General
"Law", in general, says our Author+ + He sets out with telling us. "is a rule of action ..... and it is that rule
of action, which is prescribed by some superior, and which
the inferior is bound to obey.
This is his definition. – When a man gives us his
sense of a word in a definition, what one expects
is that he should stick to it: that in
that sense he should always use the word and
in that only. For it, after having possessed Words are the dress, which a
one sense of a word writer puts his ideas into,⊞ ⊞ (why he would have) for the reader to get acquainted with them. – in order to introduce them
to the acquaintance of the reader.⊞ If after having
said to body "Hark ye me, whenever says the
man when he defines a word you see whenever you see this word, you
"may take for granted the idea and the inside
