A good Sermon is doubtless a good thing; but
in a book of the title of our Author's, it is not a
sermon one looks for, but a treatise of Jurisprudence.

NOTE

In Or Author often puts me one in mind of a
printer (of the 16th Century), who to shew his devotion
at a time when devotion
was more the mode than it is now,
at the end of his edition
a little treatise on Common Law the Law, called the Doctor
and Student, instead of the usual word Fines, has
put in immense capitals the word Jesus. Jesus, a name doubtless
very respectable. Doubtless: Unquestionably: but what did had
it to do there.
