The Law of Moses we are are told had originally the
whole of it an original a binding another force of its own over the particular
people nation to whom it was delivered, and that as well in
the character of an expression of the Will of their subordinate
human immediate ministerial Legislator Moses, as in that of an expression of the declared explicit immediate
Will of God. It has now still, that is a part of it, a binding
force, & that over all nations: still nowone for example over our own; but this
no further than as it may have been tacitly adopted
by Jesus,⊞ ⊞ himself a part of God the most recent & authoritative most authentic interpreter announcer of the will of
himself and what remains of God,⊞ and by the Apostles, interpreters
of the Will of Jesus.

In this view again it is divided the Law of Moses is divided
into two other parts. The Ceremonial Law containing
what is supposed to have been abolished by Jesus: and
the Moral Law, containing what is supposed to have
been adopted and retained.

With respect however to this distraction, if we mean
to speak ingenuously we must confess ourselves very much to be have been left a
