7 Kinds of Statutes

for the construction of Statutes, being ten in number,
the same we gave intimation of in a former prov

The analysis, it should seem, was deigned for a
complete one: to which epithet it has about
as good a title, as his explanation of the articles in
it has to those of pernicious or instructive.
After referring "The manner of making". "Statutes" he to
a subsequent part of his work; "At present",
continues he", we will only take notice of the
"different kinds of Statutes, and of some general rule,
"with regard to their construction". + The different
kinds of statutes... as if the heads he intends to give
us are all that were or could be made, out
of the stock that we have of individuals: not consider—
ing that in kinds of Statutes, as in kinds of
any thing else, there are just as many as a man
lies cause to make of them. The kinds of Statute
