consequences, void. I lay down the rule with these
restrictions; though I know it is generally laid down
more largely, that Acts of Parliament contrary
to reason are void. I hope such language, senseless in itself, mischievous in the use that may be made of it, is not "general" in the mouths of Lawyers. At present I recollect not any instance of it.s long I will not search. Peace But if the Parliament"
