Where every man's own reason is pronounced a virtuous
dependance foundation: and therefore every man is sworn to found his
persuasions upon the reason of another.
Of the patriot lessons he gives his young auditors to stimulate them to the thirst of public virtue.
The due subordination in dignity he has established between patriotic and instructive pre-eminence he establishes
in private over public service.
Of the superior dignity he attributes to the (occupation
of) indeterminate defence of right and wrong over
that of the perfecting the rule of right.
Of the not-to-be-hoped for condescension he says it would require to slip
from the former to the latter character.
Of the just (gradation) pre-eminence he establishes between the pleader
and the commissioned or voluntary uncommissioned legislator.

of digestion legislation; as not (un)worthy the name of
business, or nor scarcely of the attribute of action activity

of Jurisprudence, as having a method to improve some superfluities
