All this it is true is but an affair of words: but it
is our Author who has given words a consequence
which it is proper to shew does not belong to them.
To men of experience and discernment it is may be no superfluous
but to men in the infamy of their studies it is proper of use
to be guarded fortified against the power of fascinations of tinsel
rhetoric, and to be stand apprized of the improprieties
of the current language, even when while custom obliges
them to adopt it conform to it.
