Constitutional Code
Art. Be the case what it may an act of collation
or location exercised in relation to an entity or mass of property
may have for its object the benefit of the locator alone, or
of the locatee alone or both together, or of third persons in
any number: As it is by in the case of individuals individually
considered and their natural successors so is it in the case of individuals collectively
considered and their artificial successors.
In the case of a joint stock company the intended
benefitees are conversely the several partners with their respective
natural successors. This may be called self-regarding self-seeking foundations.
In the case of a foundation for a public purpose
the intended benefitees are commonly persons mostly unconnected in by any
part of individual self-regarding interest with the founder or
founders. These may be stiled social or benevolent foundations.
Self-regarding foundations are most naturally
founded by contract: social or benevolent foundations, by conveyance.
