Subject matters one within another – receptacles with
relation to one another – things containing and contained
in the manner of nests and boxes.
Of In regard to the several links in this chain a chain of this
sort supposing each link to be the property of a different
proprietor, how to reconcile and render consistent the use of
each one with the use of every other: a problem this which
presents a natural title to .
Of a nest or chain of this sort an example is the
following: commencing with the universal and outermost
receptacle, and proceeding gradually inwards.
So This chain will be distinguished 1. A chain composed of immoveables, 2. a chain composed of moveables.

9. 3. A separately lockt box in one of the drawers
10. 4. A Separately lockt or closed casket in the box
11. 5. A ring jewel or other article of value in the casket.
